UArctic and Rovaniemi Arctic Spirit conference sign a Memorandum of Understanding
The signing event took place on 15 November 2023 during the Rovaniemi Arctic Spirit conference as part of the session “Arctic Tipping points as a global challenge”, organized by UArctic.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the UArctic President Lars Kullerud and Markku Heikkilä, the Head of Science Communications of the Arctic Centre, University of Lapland.
UArctic and the Rovaniemi Arctic Spirit share a common goal of creating a meeting place for discussion on contemporary Arctic issues, and recognize the importance of encouraging and promoting collaboration in the Circumpolar Arctic. The purpose of the new agreement is to strengthen the relationship between UArctic and Rovaniemi Arctic Spirit, and to establish a basis for collaboration within the framework of the stated events.
