Rising Tides: Youth Action for Ocean and Climate Resilience
During World Ocean Week, held in June 2025, the Youth Network hosted a dynamic webinar featuring young ocean and climate leaders who are turning their research into action.
Listeners heard from a panel of youth researchers and early-career professionals as they shared the journey of their work in ocean science and climate action in Arctic and Sub-arctic regions including Iceland, Antarctica, and Nunatsiavut. From innovative research to real-world solutions, they shared how they’re making an impact in environmental science, policy, and advocacy.
This was a unique opportunity for youth to engage with the next generation of scientists and changemakers shaping the future of our oceans and our climate. The network welcomed participants from twelve different countries.
