The application deadline for the 12th Korea Arctic Academy is coming up on April 29, 2026! This is a unique opportunity for students from Arctic countries to join a fully funded study program in Korea focused on Arctic issues, policy, and culture.
The Korea Arctic Academy will take place from July 6–10, 2026 in Korea (GMT+9), hosted by the Korea Maritime Institute (KMI) in collaboration with UArctic. This study program brings together students from Arctic countries and Korean universities to explore key topics such as:

Arctic Policy

Arctic Economy
-
Arctic Science and Governance
-
Arctic Society
-
Field trip
The Korea Maritime Institute will fully support selected participants by covering:

Round-trip airfare between Korea (Busan) and the nearest international airport to the student

Accommodation in Korea for the full duration of the program

All meals during the official program
Who can Apply:
To be eligible, you should:

Be enrolled in an academic degree program at a UArctic member institution

Indigenous students from Arctic countires*

Have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies

Be genuinely motivated to engage with and deepen your understanding of the Arctic and Korea
* Indigenous students will be prioritized in the selection process
