Call for nominations: UNESCO International Literacy Prizes 2026
Call for nominations for the 2026 edition of the UNESCO International Literacy Prizes, on the theme “Literacy for People, the Planet and Prosperity” are now open.
Since 1967, the UNESCO International Literacy Prizes have recognised more than 500 programmes led by governments, NGOs, and individuals worldwide for their distinguished contributions to advancing literacy. The 2026 edition continues this tradition, spotlighting initiatives that connect literacy to human well-being, environmental sustainability, and economic prosperity.
The nomination process will take place via an online platform. An applicant can request the access to the online application form through this link.
The deadline for nominations is 1st of June 2026.
