Nordsnownet Poster News
The Nordic Snow Network was represented at several key international conferences during the spring of 2026.

In February, the network participated in the 11th EARSeL Workshop on Land Ice and Snow, held in Helsinki, Finland. This workshop primarily targets the remote sensing community and provided an excellent platform for presenting the network’s activities and fostering scientific exchange.

In March, the network was also present at the Arctic Science Summit Week (ASSW) in Aarhus, Denmark- a multidisciplinary conference addressing a wide range of Arctic issues. At both events, the Nordic Snow Network contributed poster presentations, which attracted interest and engaging discussions about the network’s work as well as broader UArctic initiatives.

Furthermore, the lead of the Nordic Snow Network contributed to organizing a scientific session at the European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly in Vienna, Austria, in May. The session, titled “Modelling and Measuring Snow Processes Across Scales,” drew strong international participation. The Nordic Snow Network was also highlighted in a presentation about snow measurements in Sodankylä, Finland, by the network lead.
