International Graduate Student Research Cohort (IGSRC) at the Arctic Circle Assembly
The annual International Graduate Student Research Cohort (IGSRC) is a member of the COIL@UArctic Network, that brings together students and faculty from universities in across the North Atlantic region to collaborate on year-long research projects resulting in publishable papers and a joint presentation at the Arctic Circle Assembly (ACA) in Reykjavik, Iceland.

Student Connect Reykjavík 2026
Wednesday, 7 October, 17:00-19:00 (Iceland time)
Whales of Iceland, Fiskislóð 23-25, Reykjavík, Iceland
Join the cohort on under impressive life-sized whales to connect with other students, learn more about the Arctic and our role at the assembly, while enjoying food and drinks, followed by a quick workshop about the challenges we find in the Arctic today.

International Student Strategies for the Arctic Blue Economy
Friday, 9 October, 17:20-18:15 (Iceland time)
Room TBC, Harpa Concert Hall, Austurbakki 2, 101 Reykjavík, Iceland
Join the main session at the ACA, where the students will be presenting their projects’ findings and engaging the audience in conversation about Arctic’s blue economy and triple bottom line. The students will take you on a journey across the Arctic, and talk about tourism, outdoor education, heating solutions, rangeland and pastoralism, Arctic policy and reuse of waste against Antimicrobial Resistance.
