A group of 25 international staff and students from several universities undertook a 2 week field excursion from the south to north of Alaska, from Homer to Galbraith Lake.

Museum leader Dr. Jelena Porsanger and the Sámiid Vuorká-Dávvirat (the Sámi Museum in Karasjok as a part of the broader RiddoDuottarMuseat association) alongside Matthew Magnani, University of Maine, created a virtual exhibition on the return of Indigenous cultural heritage in Sápmi.

Volume edited by Hannah Strauss-Mazzullo and Monica Tennberg “Living and Working with Snow, Ice and Seasons in the Modern Arctic” brings together accounts of contemporary engagement with Arctic and Subarctic weather conditions affected by climatic changes and requiring continuous adaptation.
