A world-class research and teaching facility, the Bonne Bay Aquarium and Research Station on Newfoundland's breath-taking west coast is dedicated to expanding knowledge of marine ecology and the Arts.
The Bonne Bay Aquarium & Research Station is a seasonal Aquarium, research, teaching and conference venue located in Norris Point, Newfoundland and Labrador, and is part of the Grenfell Campus, Memorial University. We are open to collaboration with researchers and professors from all disciplines interested in teaching and learning in the Gros Morne/Bonne Bay region. We have a 60 seat lecture Theatre, a full operating Laboratory, 3 boats and a variety of marine equipment. We have breathtaking views right from our building as well as in the Gros Morne area.
Our Public Aquarium is open seasonally (May to October) and showcases our local marine flora and fauna. When you visit, you will be able to join a tour led by one of our student interpreters who will guide you through the biology and ecology of Bonne Bay.
We suppost the Arts with artist in residence, pay to play and groups that come here from all over Canada for the remote and peacefulness that this area can provide.
The Bonne Bay Aquarium & Research Station is located within Gros Morne National Park, in Norris Point, on the west coast of the island of Newfoundland. Gros Morne National Park is a UNESCO world Heritage Site.
