The 2008 Little Alaska Weather Symposium will be held on 12-13 May 2008, at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. The symposium is sponsored by Alaska Region, NOAA National Weather Service; Arctic Region Supercomputing Center; College of Natural Science and Mathematics, University of Alaska Fairbanks; Geophysical Institute; and International Arctic Research Center.

The symposium will provide a forum for the exchange of operational and research information related to weather in the Alaska environment. Primary topics will include:
- operational forecasting and observational sources in Alaska;
- polar aspects of weather; and
- reanalysis and data assimilation.
One-paragraph abstracts for 20-30 minute presentations are invited and should be submitted by Tuesday, 4 March 2008, at:
