The International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA) is the global voice of libraries, representing the interests of the profession and working to improve services worldwide.

The World Library and Information Congress (WLIC) is an international conference held annually by IFLA for the library and information services sector. This year, 21.-25. August, it brought together over 3000 participants from 150 countries.

The DALAM network works in the area of decolonization of metadata, descriptive cataloguing, archival description, classification systems, subject headings, and other terminology that is used by libraries and archives. The network serves as a community of practice for librarians, archivists and information professionals who work in this area.
