north2north call for Kingdom of Denmark members in support of UArctic Congress 2026 participation

Apply for north2north funding to participate in the UArctic Congress 2026 – the call is open to students, staff- and faculty members from Danish, Greenlandic and Faroese north2north member institutions alike. Apply by April 22nd 2026.​

Through a grant from the Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science, north2north for the Kingdom of Denmark offers grants in support of student, staff and faculty participation in the UArctic Congress 2026.

The Congress runs from 26th to 29th May 2026 in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands.

Criteria for eligibility:

  • The applicant must be enrolled employed at a UArctic member institution within the Kingdom of Denmark
  • The grant is specifically offered for participation in the UArctic Congress 2026
  • The applicant is responsible for all arrangements necessary for participating in the conference themselves
  • All applications must be submitted through the applicants’ home institutions north2north coordinator.
  • Applications must include a short (1/2 page) motivational letter, outlining the applicant’s motivation for participating in the UArctic Conference 2026.
  • Those receiving funding are required to send a short narrative report, along with photos, on completion of their mobility.

Grant amount

Grants amounts are aligned with the Kingdom of Denmark student overseas grant for short term mobility and holds the sum of 22.200 DKK.

Applicants can expect a reply by end of April, 2026.

The UArctic Congress 2026 will take place in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands from May 26 to 29,2026. The event is hosted by the University of the Faroe Islands in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Culture, and the Faroe Marine Research Institute.
