Glasgow Caledonian University

Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) is a vibrant, innovative and multi-award winning University for the Common Good. GCU is ranked in the world’s top 150 universities in the Times Higher Education’s 200 under 50 league (2017) and the top modern university in Scotland by research power (REF 2014). With campuses in Glasgow and London and New York, and exchange partners in Finland, Norway, Sweden and many others, GCU has strong global outlook and this is reflected in GCU's award-winning international student experience and international research collaborations.

GCU’s research strategy is underpinned by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and aims to address three societal challenge areas of Inclusive Societies, Healthy Lives and Sustainable Environments.  Research spans all three of our campuses, for example; the Centre for Climate Justice in Glasgow and their research on Climate Justice in the Arctic, and the Fair Fashion Center in New York and British School of Fashion in London which focuses on sustainability and societal innovations. GCU is also the largest receiver of Erasmus+ funding in the UK and routinely engages in exchange programmes, such as the award-winning Period Promoting Excellence in Employability and Transversal Skills (PEETS) programme between Scotland, Finland and the Netherlands.
